Adventure Games

Adventure Games involve giving groups a challenge, usually with physical activities as a key part of them.  They can be team-building activities, but they can also deal with issues such as problem-solving, leadership, utilizing the diverse skills of the team, communication, overcoming opposition, dealing with stress, and many other topics.

A key in using adventure games in experiential education is the debriefing.  That is the most important part of the entire exercise because that is where the learning is crystalized.  After exploring how people felt and what happened in the exercise you can generalize by asking how what they went through reminds them of the challenges they may face in other parts of their lives.  What lessons can they draw out of this particular exercise?
